How it works
Cost per gram is spool price ÷ spool weight. Total material equals your print weight plus a small percentage for purge lines, skirts, and support waste. The final cost is total material × cost per gram.
Typical waste percentages
- Simple FDM print, no supports: 2–4%
- With supports or brim: 5–8%
- Multi-color print with purge tower: 15–40%
